Summer is Fast Approaching

Now that the snow is all gone, the ice is out of the lake and things are finaly starting to warm up........ summer is just around the corner. If you haven't made your summer reservation yet, don't delay, space is dissappearing fast.

The docks are now back in the water and the boats will be going in soon. We are busy doing spring cleanup in and around the resort, but it's still a great time for a quiet getaway. Come on up and see us and watch as spring welcomes in the summer.

Spring in Muskoka

The snow is melting, the days are longer and the sun is feeling much warmer. This is a great time to relax and watch nature come alive. There will still be ice in the lake until close to the end of April. No matter what type of winter we have, the ice always goes out within a few days of the same time each year. You can watch the deer make their way across the still frozen lake, and hope they know enough to stay clear of the open areas.

We've got SNOW !!

Yes, we have snow, and lots of it. We received over 30 cm of new snow in the last 12 hours. If you still haven't decided what to do with the family on the March break, we can help. An excellent base along with all this new snow makes for the best March break conditions in years. Ski, snowshoe, skate, snowtube or go for a walk, a great way to spend some time with your family this March break.

Spring is Around the Corner

February is almost at an end, leaving us with just March to get out and enjoy some winter fun. Make the most of your winter and come on out, we would love to see you at the resort for a few days. Thank you to all our returning guests who have booked for this coming summer, if you haven't booked your summer getaway at Blue Water Acres yet you better hurry. Summer bookings are coming in and availability will soon be limited.

Its Still Winter in Muskoka

Yes we have recieved a day of rain along with the mild temperatures, but unlilke much of the area south of us we still have an excellent snow base. Cold temperatures tonight along with a dusting of fresh snow means you can still get outside and do all those winter actvities.

Winter Fun

The snow keeps on coming this year! Conditions are excellent for enjoying all that winter has to offer.

The weekend of February 5th and 6th you will be able to watch snowmobile drag racing right out in front of Blue Water Acres on Portage bay. You'll be sure to see some very very fast snowmobile racing.

Snow? We've got it! Lots of it!

It's been snowing on and off for more than two weeks. There's more snow on the ground before Christmas this year than we've seen for a number of years. Most of our winter activities are operational including tubing, skating, snowmobiling, X-country skiing, and snowshoeing. The lake is frozen but not safe for ice fishing or snowmobiling yet. Downhill skiing is open at Hidden Valley. Dogsledding and sleigh rides are also now available nearby.
